Ok I am not really as stupid as I sound but I am pretty sure I know what it does but I just want to make sure that you know what it does. Ok not really, from what I understand this product is suppose to allow you to adjust your clutch pedal to your specific needs right? Ok what does that mean. Is it suppose to make your clutch easier to push in or help you set up were you want the clutch to let out at, like the top of the pedal or the bottom I guess? I don't know and after looking I still don't know. So please let me know what all this thing does. thanks

The adjustable part is misleading. The stock quadrant and pawl (they go together) allow adjustment. Aftermarket quadrants have 2-3 hooks to get the cable halfway adjusted but you need another means of adjustment (either an adjustable cable, or the best route is the OEM non adjustable cable and a FWA).

The stock unit is plastic and the teeth sheer off eventually. THe aftermarket units are metal and dont have a pawl (the pawl is what allowed adjustment in oem form, and the lack of this is why you need another means of adjustment). Get yourself a nice quadrant and FWA (and new cable if yours is in doubt - they do hold up pretty well though). That way you wont have to worry about having the stocker break on you one day. The tow price would about pay for the new parts.

Good luck.

so is that pretty much the only benefit? Replacing something that could eventually break down the road. So can I adjust my stock one to fit my needs then?
That's really about it. On your stocker, you pull up on the clutch pedal to allow it to automatically self-adjust. Where it adjusts is kinda where it stays (I dont recommend manually trying to set the pawl to quadrant mesh, as that is a decent way to break one or both).

The aftermarket components allow you to set your point of engagement a little bit, but not a whole lot (that's not really their purpose). As I recall, MM sells a separate kit that does allow you to tailor the clutch pedal height a bit.

Good luck.
