Adjusting Clutch Cable

I bought the Steeda clutch cable, firewall adjuster and the quadrant for my 1989 Mustang GT with a T5 and King Cobra clutch. I need some tips on how to adjust it (how should the pedal feel?). Thanks for any help.

I set mine so there is zero slack in the cable. Most folks put a slight preload on the cable.
