Can someone tell me how to adjust the rockers with the car off??? My dad insisted on adjusting them while the car is running and well... they are noisy as h3ll! I'm thinking this is part of the reason why my car only ran a 13.5 @ 102mph because the valves wern't opening up all the way. A web site or detailed list of instructions will be nice Thanks!

Normally with the stud mounts you can just turn the nut until the slack is taken out of the rocker and then put another 1/2 -3/4 of a turn on it. Don't do what your dad says. You will have one heck of a mess. How did you install them?

Check out FTI's website. They supposedly have some type of valve adjustment procedure in there. I do know that you're supposed to adjust the valves cold though.

Put them on, hand tightened them down so they were "snug" Started up the car without the valve covers on, loosened them up until ticking was really loud, tightened them until it went away (hard to hear with engine running) then tightened down the bolt on top.

Theres a way where you can adjust them with the car not running and I think thats what I need to do.

I'm going with Edds instructions The way he explained it is a lot easier to under stand and everyone on here says he knows what hes talking about. Probably gonna do this tomorrow and see how my car runs afterwards.

Ok, I got the valve covers off and I'm going to start adjusting the rockers once the engine cools down a little (Edds instructions says to work on it when its cool). Once I got the covers off, I tried to move the rockers side to side and only a few of them wouldnt move but they were the ones holding the valves open at that time. Should the rockers move at all when they are closed, or move slightly? Some of the rockers only moved slightly, others moved a lot I'm about 99.9% sure I'll pick up about 50 lost HP from doing this.

Anyone need pictures of anything while my intake is off??? I'm gonna get the vaccume line placement for the upper intake cause thats asked for a lot, or was a lot.
