make sure when adjusting the cable that is hasnt come off the hook oh the quadrant,very common.if you have a firewall adj then make sure its almost all the way screwed in toward the firewall,if not no big deal.next route the cable and put the quadrant side on,then take the nuts off the adjustable side of the cable,keep tension on the cable by hand and route it thru the bell and fork in the lower hole.once its thru keep pulling tension on it while threading the nuts on.thread on till there is little to no slack in the cable and you should be good to go from there.any other adjustments can be made at the firewall if you have one.the reason i kept saying keep tension on the cable is so it does not slip off the quadrant without you realizing it.im using a steeda cable with no firewall and a bbk quadrant,so i know it works.maybe they gave you diff year cable.
