Advice on my Rotor/Pad setup

Hey everyone,

I was thinking about the following setup..and wanted to hear your advice and suggestion.

I was going to go with the EBC Greenstuff pads ($138 for all four) and Brembo slotted rotors (gold finish, Front: $203, Rear: $152)

That’s a total of $493 for all four brakes and rotors.
I wanted to watch how much I spent…which is why price was of concern. It is an upgrade (mild) from the stock setup..but for my uses…(street driven, occasional track) it is fine.

I am curious though how long the normal pad life is for the Greenstuff pads. I know it depends on many variables..but comparing it to the stock pads…can anyone give an estimate on how long they would last. My stock pads lasted 86,000 miles…to give an idea of my driving frequency and habits.

I will probably also replace the brake lines as well…and just keep the stock calipers for the time being…although I liked the silver calipers w/ the pony emblem that I saw on discsareus.com.

Any responses are appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

with a supercharger its especially important to have stopping power.. For that power you at least need some decent front calipers.
$399 from www.mustangparts.com- Cobra Front Brake kit with 2 Piston PBR calipers, 13" brembo rotors for better clamping angle, steel brake lines, and pads.

Then you can spend the rest of the money on rear slotted rotors and rear Greenstuff pads.. Little more expensive but at least you will feel the difference.
