I made these rear fenders for my 1935 Ford pickup in 1997 ,they are made with ISO resins and red ISO gel coat ,just cut and buffed and they have been like this all these years ,all i did was wipe them off . I used to drive it here on the farm just about every day ,its been parked for about 5 years now

Bigger scoops and side vents for about 1K

So this hood is about $1000. Any guesstimate on how much to paint and fit?

It's not a scoop, but I have a Maier cowl hood, and I really like it. The thing went right on, and I'm on my second paint job (probably ready for #3), soon.

One from 2001 (hood is 6 years old here):

BTW,, the kid in the picture is now driving Lisa GT's mustang in college. Naturally, Lisa GT has a new Vert . . .

Great looking car. Here's one thing that bothered me with my Maier hood: see how yours kind of dips down in the center? All Maier hoods do that and it's not the same contour as a stocker. Since I was building a '67 Shelby clone, that is more exaggerated due to the center-mounted high beams. I had to cut the skin from the bracing and squeeze the skin with large cabinet clamps to give it the correct shape, which left the hood too narrow. Just my OCD...

Not going to lie . . . I've never noticed that! LOL! I originally got the hood because I put a (nother) 351W in, but with the big(ger) air filter, it wouldn't fit under the normal hood . . . shown below :

There's a 351W under that hood, and the little Shelby scoop is for looks, only.

I got the Maier hood because of the clearance. Now, eh, I just kind of like it.

I agree 100%, they both look great and I know the stock Mustang hoods get a little tight. And I can tell you with all certainty I doubt anyone would know the difference, but like I said, with my car, it actually covered the tops of the high beams. Here's a pic to illustrate what mine looks like after, sorry I don't have a before pic, but it was exactly 1 inch less "bow" measured from the center of the hood.
