Aerocatch Hood pins.

So my car is in the shop....now is the time to shop hood pins. The shop said it wouldn't be a good idea to use the latch in the fiberglass because of its weakness.

Anyone use these pins? I like the locking feature.

Yes, hood pins are a really good idea. I've never seen a car with that particular brand on them, but they look awesome, and not terribly expensive. I'd go for it. Those look sweet.

I figure now is the time to buy them. I wouldn't feel comfortable cutting 2 oval holes in my hood...but the body shop should be able to do that blindfolded.

Can the aerocatch ones be color matched (painted) I want to run hood pins for peace of mind but don't really want the look of regular hood pins because I think they would stand out like a sore thumb on my car.

They have flush mount ones.

I love the look of the Aerocatch hood pins! According to the website, they can be sanded and painted to match. I haven't used these myself, so I can't say from experience. Here's a couple links of Aerocatch latches installed on Mustangs:
