Stay safe out there brah! We look forward to seeing you on here while over in the sand.

If you get homesick: remember how you thought about Matt while you were in Vic.

Safe travels Aaron!

Be safe and bank all your combat pay. Come back in one piece and build a NASTY Dart based stroker and blow us all away with your combo.

Be careful man, my brother was in Baqubah just north of Bahgdad and his patrol got ambushed in February, everyone got hit with small arms fire, one casualty was a medic. My bro took one in the left ankle, he's back in Ft. Hood still recovering, he calls it a Forrest Gump wound compared to others. Stay in touch with us here I will pray for your safety

Hey fella's,

Thanks for the amazing support, although I couldn't expect otherwise coming from a bunch of guys like yourselves.

Again, I'll be in touch while I'm over there, and I'm going to need some serious expertise on the parts I'll need to put this engine together...so I'm sure there'll be lots of talk going on

Thanks again!

Stay safe....I just got back from Kuwait/Iraq, this is my first post since coming back as a matter of fact. Just curious how long you guys go for? staying at Bagram? Canadian forces allow you guys to have alchohol over their, (we're not), that first beer when you get home is amazing Again just curious. Last time I was in Afghanistan we got attacked by mortars, I wound up in a ditch with a NY army guardsmen, and a Russian airlift pilot, we smoked cigars and tried to understand the russian, but wound up just laughing at/with him, accent was way to thick.

We had three "confirmed" launches at us this time, we're pretty sure they were "just RPG's"...got mortered a bunch of times on the ground in Iraq, and we just stopped counting the small arms fire...kinda nuts seeing all the stuff going on at night with NVG's on, especially during Ramadan (big holy time for them),

We actually flew your (Canadian) ambassador to Iraq and his crew from Jordan into baghdad, they were cool, he had a super fine sidekick, name was Sonya. Also picked up the comedian Dave Atell (insomniac theatre), brought him out of baghdad, he was doing a USO show, dude was hilarious. Picked up the FBI head of counterterrorism in Iraq, he pretty much had Jack bauer -esque to him, bunch of other people too, not to mention the 8000+ Army/Marine/Navy/AF troops we flew around. All in all 8000 troops, 1500 tons of cargo, 59 combat missions, 348 flight hours, all in 100+ degree weather in airplanes built in the 60's. It was fun...

Good Luck man, stay safe, do what you do and get home
(I knocked out 2 college classes, quit smoking, lost 25 lbs, ran/worked out every other day, and a bunch of other self enhancing stuff, makes the time go by)

yeah man, i do remember we talked a bit the last time I was over there... I was based on Julien between the palaces in Kabul. Bagram was a great base (Burger King was refreshing) but this time I'll be in Kandahar Airfield. It's a little more sketchy in that area but I'm pretty confident the winter months will bring some immobility to insurgents, as it has in the past. That said, this time, the cautions are much higher than in Kabul, I'll be keeping my head much lower, but looking to the sky alot more. I've lost a few good friends over there in the past year, and I'd rather not be next. Besides, I have a beast to build on when I get home. Unfortunately, we're dry in KAF just like you guys....no beer like at Camp Julien

We'll be in touch, and thanks for getting home safe man...sit back and enjoy freedom, you most certainly deserve it.

Seriously? Wow dude, that's awesome! It'd be great to meet her, although I would have expected to meet you first...maybe you can sneak into her baggage and get over there as well

No worries about me hitting on her, fella....you've seen me...I look like a raped goat. I have problems picking up the newspaper, so I know I wouldn't stand a chance

In fact, I'll probably just kill anybody who does try to hit on her lol...what are friends for?

Yes seriously except there is no way to sneak **** in as they check so I can't help you there. But if a mustang mag is missing a page and there happens to be a PIITB picture and they find it you are on your own hahahahaha. I was kidding about the hitting on her lol. I'll be sending her care packages so I'll throw it what ever I can get that you want. She offered to do it btw.
