I have a set of afr 185cc heads and the springs that come with them are only good to .550 lift. i have a comp cam with .570 lift, does anybody know what springs i should get and where....i dont want to grind the heads either
Is it a stock shortblock? I heard you have to notch the pistons with 185's. And for the springs just call up comp cams, tell them what cam you have and theyll tell you what springs you need.
do you have the cam card for the camshaft? it should give a recommended spring, pressure, installed height, load, all that. or call comp cams directly and ask them, that would be the best thing you could do.
Give this guy a call. http://flowtechinduction.com/
He has drop in springs for those heads and are good up to .630 lift I believe. They also come with way better valve seals. I think They where $250 shipped. I got a set for my 185's and they work great. I think they are called the PS3 kit. You might have to email him, faster response
