Will AFR 185s be fine on a 331 rather than a 347? I have a comp cams xe282hr camshaft.

is that 16 extra cubic inches going to make that much of a difference? I have the EXACT same combo that the AFR website has. On a 302 this combo made 455 hp. I am assuming that on a 331 or a 347...it should make close to 500. Can anyone tell me how much of a difference I would see between these two strokers?

A smaller motor with be more comfortable reving high. I really don't think it is all that big of a difference. The the 347 will produce a slight torque advantage because of the longer stroke, but will not last as long as a 331.

you can PM ME if you want to about them...

One is a brand new cast hawks racing crankshaft...virgin

the other is unknown brand, but looks a LOT better than the hawks crank, i believe its been balanced to 28oz. This one has been turned 20/20

$150 each

I have a 347ci with ported and polished AFR 185's and an XE274HR and I am getting 455HP, 475 torque with a Mighty Demon 650 and a Vic Jr. Could probably get more with more carb but it does fine for a street strip combo.

I shift at 6200RPM and have loads of bottom end torque with a 2500 stall and 3:73 gears in a 3Klbs car. Street tires will smoke all the way until I shift into 3rd with my C4.
