AFR/FTI/Edelbrock combo?????

Depends on what you want. If it's going to be a daily driver 1st, and then a track car 2nd, you can probably look forward to around 320rwhp. I did some searches here and on Corral about Eds combos and their results. They dynoed similar numbers to off the shelf packages/cams, but people running a cam from Ed, were running WAY faster in the quarter. The cams he specs make torque everywhere in the RPM range (assuming it's a cam for a street car that will see some track use) Plus the car drives like almost stock, but with emense power :nice:

Got one.

Road race cam, though. Not as "wild" as some. See sig. I started out with 345rwhp before tuning. 30# injectors. 76mm C&L. Only a 65mm TB. Too many other "minor" mods to list, but likely contribute to the combo's power.

I have a Edel. Perf. RPM that has been lightly ported, entries contoured, etc. The AFR 165's are custom order from AFR with additional work and several upgrades.

I've had the combo for a few years. Ed Curtis may have discovered some newer intake/head/cam combos that work even better than mine. I'd highly recommend contacting him.

Peak HP is for ricers, a broad tq band is for those who actually win races. As you can see with AutoXr1, simply bada$$! His combo's are putting down more than some with boost, that says something.

I am thinking of doing a few other mods first then working my way to a FTI combo. I want to start by building a new shortblock, upgrading the performer to the RPM and porting it, then saving for the FTI heads and cam.

I wish I make more power then I am now, Ed told me to expect around 315rwhp, I havent broke 310 yet, and ontop of it his cam demolishes air fuel ratio setup, I will need a chip in order to not have to run 58psi to get it to idle properly and have good a/f ratio on dyno. I am also gonna try upgrading from C&L 76mm and moroso intake, to a anderson power pipe with 80mm pro-m.
