It's been a while, but I finally did run my 6. No SVO healthy enough to play with... This was my first time ever at a track. I'm not going to change my sig so mods are going in this post. More info can be found at my site. www.forced4.dynu.com
2002 V6 Mustang.
T-Lok & 3.73's
Magnaflow Dual Exhaust
Diablo Sports Chip - Ford Chips
245/45 - 17 Cheap as dirt street tires.
Got 5 Runs in for the night at LVD in NY. The significant three are.
First Run - Bogged bad off the line with a 2.5K launch attempt
R/T .722
60FT 2.594
330 7.225
1/8 10.982
MPH 66.12
1000 14.153
1/4 16.932
MPH 76.43
I did not let this get to me.
Very next run was 15.463 @ 86.26
Third Run of the night was the best ET.
R/T .557
60FT 2.283
330 6.480
1/8 9.959
MPH 70.87
1000 12.938
1/4 15.450
MPH 90.20
And the last run of the night was IMO the best run and kind of tells the story about what the car should do if I ever learn to launch.
R/T .534 I'm still REacting to the light when I should be acting on it
60FT 2.447 Doesn't look good
330 6.592
1/8 10.03
MPH 71.53
1000 12.987 Shifting at 6K got me here.
1/4 15.482 Crossed in 3rd! Shifted right on the line and chirped 4th(for the second time)
MPH 90.59
a 1.5 tenth increse in 60 foot time and I miss my best time by .032 That tells me there is a good 15.1 chance in this car even with a 2.2 60 foot.
I ran the crap out of the car on this run, shifting at 5700+ until I hit third where I shifted a 6K. I had run it to about 5500 and almost crossed without shifting (chicked out at 5800) the run before so tried it again. I swore to god I chipred 4th so thought I would check. Sure enough, on the shift to 4th it sqelched.
I was running a white 2001 GT with DR's on this run so was inspired I guess. She posted a 14.43
I'm really going to try to get up there one more time this year with this car. I bought a miniDV Cam Corder so I'll find a way to stick it to the dash and tape the runs in car next time out. That 4th gear chirp is just so odd.
