after cam install (hold to floor)

What is your fuel pressure set at?

When you push the pedal to the floor you clear the ECU's KAM (keep alive memory) which cuts off the fuel to the injectors. It is a pretty common dealing with a rich start-up or rich condition period.

I have that condition...

Funny that the first two guys have Kirban AFPR's... Pull the vacuum hose off anf see if you get any fuel out of it when you prime the fuel system. Friend had the same problem on his '95 and it was his Aeromotive regulator leaking fuel by. I had called him at night after thinking about the problem and he went out and checked for leaking fuel with his lighter. Got stupid lucky and didn't burn himself... but he found the fuel.

Mine is not the Kirban at all...it is the 30lb injectors. It gives a rich idle and I have a slower start when the car will die on me (being my fault) because it didn't burn the excess fuel off. So when I go to restart it it is adding fuel to the already existing fuel in the chambers and has a slow start. If I cut the KAM off it will start right up...

The injectors are my fault...
