Last time I looked into it the aftermarket didn't really have a true upgrade for the factory COP units. All the aftermarket ones at the time were touted as upgrades but from what everyone said they were no better performance/reliability wise when compaired to the stock unit.
I am seeing these "upgraded" Granatelli units which supposedly have a significantly higher voltage output over stock and are reported to have heavy HP/TQ gains on the 3v motors.
I have an 03 Mach 1. It is nearly stock as far as the motor is concerned. I have a bad coil pack so I need to replace it anyways and if I can get an upgraded set and gain some HP/TQ at the same time why not ?
Are there any COPs out there worth the money or should I just stick with the stock units ?

Honestly, on a stock or stock-ish engine I'd stay OE if for no other reason than reliability.

Agreed. They might have something to offer on a high boost application with extensive mods. But other than that I think they are worthless.Honestly, on a stock or stock-ish engine I'd stay OE if for no other reason than reliability.
