Aftermarket distributors??

Ive been close to purchasing a high spark distributor for my 87 fox, but im curious as to how much it will help and if it's even worth the cash? If anyone has an MSD or any other brand, please fill me in on the advantages of this part; such as power increase, better response ect. Also, ive taken my stock distributor out many times, are aftermarket products any harder to install than stock?

go to this link. basiclly the stock one is a very good unit. no need to replace unless it doesn't work. no performance advantage with the aftermarkets in any way, just bling factor.

I did not go puddle jumping, but I agree with Jerry. The stock TFI ignition should be good to near 400 HP N/A.

I would spend the money elsewhere.

I used an MSD Dizzy on my 83 (or course, it's not an EFI car, but still) and I had nothing but good luck with it.
