Hey,

Does anyone know if there are any companies that make heads for our cars? I'm at the point where I can't do many more bolt ons, but I don't have the money to buy a supercharger. Plus the idea of a 350+ n/a car is very nice to me. Hopefully some company is working on them. Also, would I need to reprogram my diablo chip or change injectors?

Thanks,
Jason

Nope, no such luck. There are rumors about people working on heads but I don't think anyone has actually produced a set yet. The good news is that the 99-up stockers are pretty decent pieces and there are tons of good machinists out there that can clean 'em up just fine. If you're lookin' for 350 NA to the wheels you're gonna have to look at some other options... like a big bore block, stroker, flat-top pistons, etc. etc.

Thanks for the name. Talked to marquis and he sounds like a cool guy. He said if I bring it in and he does a p&p job I would get about 30-50hp out of it for $1000 (thats if he takes my heads off). I'm thinking I'll take mine off and bring them to him. I'm doing suspension anyways this summer, so I might as well do everything in one shot.

How hard is it to take off heads and cams. I've done clutches, flywheels, driveshafts, suspension, and exhaust before. I just don't want to dig in there, put it back together and regret it if my engine blows up because I misaligned something. Any advice would be appreciated. Figure I could save some good cash doing it myself.

Thanks,
J
