I am in the process of my HCI swap and have a few questions about the stock lower intake. Does anyone remember what size of wrench needed to remove the EGR tubing? Also, I don't know what you call it but it is the fitting that houses the water temp sensor (for the computer) and one of the metal tubes for the heater. This is towards the front passenger side of the lower intake. I also need the wrench size for this fitting. I checked the FAQ section under the intake swap and didn't see the info. Unfortunately, I don't have any wrenches this large so a tool run will be necessary. THX

I used a 1" open end box wrench. And on the front passenger side of the lower intake is the water neck and the thermostat housed in between the neck and intake... is that what youre asking? Id say the easiest way to get these answers is to have a bud bring over some wrenches and just use them and go out and get yourself a set. If you plan to tool around on your car you are going to need at least a metric and standard set of open end box wrenches ;)

I have both metric and standard sets of open-end wrenches. The problem is the standard set only goes up to 7/8".

I ended up taking the passenger side header off with the EGR and tubing still attached. I'll get a 1" wrench to get this loose.

Here's a pic of the other fitting. Is this also 1"?
