aftermarket plenum vs. ported stock plenum

i have read everything about all the aftermarket plenums. my previous job for 5 years was building high performance engines. i still have all of my porting tools. i was thinking i might could get a good improvement from port work versus spending the $200 for about 10-12hp. is free port(a gain of maybe 7-8hp) work worth the money????

I ported mine and it works really well. You just gotta be willing to set aside some time, that's all. Can't beat saving money IMO
