Anybody bought the 03-04 cobra style hood from these guys? They're showing $329 for the one made to fit the GT front bumper. Just wondering if anyone knows what they're made from, and if the heat extractor part of it is actually functional.. oh.. and whether it includes the hood blanket or not.

well you dont really need the heat blanket. i havent seen these hoods personally, but the odds are they are fiberglass. try to get the functional hood, the waveys are awesome lol. check out nichepi.com i think thats it. if not, google it, good stuff

I would go without the hood blanket, but I've read of people who had pretty bad paint fade because of the heat the hood absorbs without the blanket.

the blanket is mostly for sound. If it is painted with good paint, it will be fine. paint can and does take a lot of heat.
