After an air bag has been deployed. Do you have to reset system before pluging in new air bag. The air bag light is blinking, is system deactivated . No codes. Minor impact no frame damage.

The airbag-specific computer is usually toast, after a deployment they may never work properly again. They're designed for a single use after all. You can replace the airbags without resetting the system, but the airbags will be deactivated until the computer is reset or replaced.

When the airbag light blinks, it is giving you a code. Take a look at this site to find out what the code means. If you cannot clear a code it means that the condition causing the code is still there.

The airbag computer is behind the dash on the transmission tunnel in the back. You can get to it if you look in either footwell and peel back a bit of carpet. It's a blue box held on by 3 bolts, it can be removed without removing the dash.

I've replaced the airbag system before, if you have any questions feel free to PM me or reply here.
