AIR BAGS

Tired of driveshaft rubbing on ebrake cables during turns, I ground down the bracket so that clears great, but the cables still rub, tried messing with the location of the cables, cant make anything work. Ride height was supect, So I measured that and the car is actually 1/2" lower in the back than it is in the front. This is more than likely due to the aftermarket stereo junk I have in the trunk, which is pretty much worthless for anything else now, so I'm going to attempt to raise the rear up about an inch or so, with some air bags. Anybody ever tried it? any downside? I thought this sounded better than getting new springs, and definitely sounds better than removing my kickass stereo. so whatcha think?

Never used airbags, but you should be able to raise the rear some by rotating the rear springs. The bottom end of the springs is supposed to point to the driver's side; you can rotate the springs 180, which means the spring ends are pointing to the driver's side. I don't know if this will give you enough of a boost in ride height, but it's certainly cheaper than airbags. :D

If you want a shorter ride height than the 180' rotation, rotate the springs until the spring end points down.

If you do try rotating the springs, make sure both spring ends point in the same direction or your Stang will be lopsided.
