Air cleaner device thingy

if it had a round device, is it possible to put in a oval device? do you all like the look of the round or oval better?

Not sure I completely understand...
but a round filter has to fit into a round...cover. same thing with oval.
Ovals are usually used with a double carb set up as well.

yeah, the element has to fit the case/cover. Also, there are two-peice elements that fit the dual quad carbs.
