Air trapped in cooling system

I'm having a strange gurggling noise when I first start up my car. It goes away almost completely after warmed up. Sounds like rushing water. I'm sure its air trapped in the coolant system because I just replaced the radiator and the coolant. I am also experiencing some mild overheating issues. How do I get rid of this trapped air? Thanks for any help.

The way they do it when they build new cars is to pull a vacuum on the system, then introduce the coolant while under vacuum. It's also the way to fill 'er up in 40 seconds. I also saw this used method on American Hot Rod in an episode last year.

Remove the radiator cap when cool, start, & let it idle to operating temperature with the heater on full heat. Let it idle at temp. for about 15 minutes with the cap off. This will allow the trapped air to escape. Top off the radiator coolant.

As above, but right before you put the cap on "burp" the system - give it a little throttle and the level will go down, while under throttle, add coolant and put the cap on. You'll probably need someone to help you.

You need to bleed the system from one of the highest points in your system. Try jacking the front of the car up, put on stands, remove radiator cap (cold), put catch pan under car, make sure the heater is on, run till air stops coming out of radiator. Top up system & should be good to go.
