The craptastic ford cig lighter socket fell apart and shorted out.

Since then I have no airbag, airbag light, but no code according to OBDII.
I have no horn, and no cig sockets (by the shifter or in the middle of the console.)

Any idea? I checked all the fuses and they seem fine.

I checked the airbag fuse and it isn't blown.

I'm going to go out right now and re-pull all the fuses...

Turns out the guy I got the car from was lazy.

High amp box, he has 30's for 20A, 25 for 10A
Man I had to re-buy almost all the fuses to get it correct.

Got it all spec, now it's just the airbad, a clock spring replacement.

Thanks to all those who put this info up on stangnet!
Sure to have saved me a ton of money from the dealer!

I did a search for "no horn" and "airbag light" and a link to HERE showed up: http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/airBag/airBag95.html

From the lack of cruis control, the airbag light, and no horn, I guessed it was the clock spring.

However, I have yet to find a part number for the sn95 system.

Anyone can help?

Man, I can't even find the part number off the motorcraft site.

It must be one of those parts they don't like selling to people.. hehe.

Ford parts guy:
"No, please let us do it. We're certified.Really!!
Don't buy the part! you'll die! people will die!"

Me: "Um. No. I only want to spend $70. I own tools
and have two hands."

Ford parts guy: "You'll void any warranty you might."

Me: "It's a 96. I'll risk it."

(anything to do with airbags is probably an instant $1000 fee)

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/50resto.aspx

search for clockspring and the 3 types pop up
95'-98' $99.95

I checked my ford cd and only found that they consider the airbag unit as a whole, clockspring attached. So no luck on the #, unless im mistaken and its called the air bag sliding contact, #14A664.

the CD is for a 98'
