My airbag light flashes four times, then flashes two times, then repeats the cycle until it stays fully lit. How can I reset this and what do the flashes mean?
thats what they call a light flash code, the restraint control module is flashing a code 42, I can look it up in the morning when I get to work and let you know what the code is.
I looked it up on google: front crash sensor circuit malfunction (On a Ford Expedition forum)
I had a Shelby Cobra Front Bumper put on and this light came on. Do you think it is because the sensor is not hooked up or could it be because he didn't disconnect the battery. If it is not hooked up where are they located so I can check.
Possible Causes
A front impact severity sensor status fault can be caused by:
wiring, terminals or connectors.
a faulty front impact severity sensor.
incorrect front impact severity sensor mounting.
a faulted RCM
the front impact severity sensor is located in the front-center of the vehicle, behind the grille. maybe it's just unplugged, or not making a good ground to the car.
