Does anyone know how to remove the plastic cover from the module to inspect/replace the capacitors?
I have undone the snaps along the long sides but something is still holding it on the end with the connectors.

The module is still mounted to the metal bracket because it looks like there are screws in the module going into the bracket.

Can you upload a pic of what you are talking about?

Below is a picture of the same plastic box as mine but my metal bracket is different.
The top plastic cover separates from the plastic base along the bottom where the yellow line is in the top picture.
There are snaps along the near side along the yellow line and also on the opposite side on the same edge.
I have undone all snaps but still can not pull the cover off.

There is one section of the cover near the gray connectors on the right side of the picture which may be glued to the base. Has anyone tried to take this module apart before?

I have not, I gave your thread a bump in hopes someone who has done it before could chime in. If I find any info I will post it up for you.

I was finally able to remove the cover today. It required a lot more force than I was applying. I pried outwards on the side of the cover in the lower view above and it was enough to finally lift it off. Ford must have used a press to install it.
To remove the screws which hold it to the metal bottom, you need to remove the cover to access them.
Thank you for responding.

Good deal! I was tempted to tell you just to pry it- I have opened a few modules just not airbag ones and they all require a bit of effort.
