If not the junkyard, you can either spring for a brand new one from someplace like 50resto or make one on your own - it's nothing fancy, just a strip of straight plastic (or it could be sheet metal) with a 90* bend and 5 holes in it for mounting bolts. It doesn't have to be an airdam off a Mustang to work, it could just as easily be off a Taurus, Crown Vic, or any other car ... doesn't even have to be a Ford. Just something with a straight, flat surface about 2" tall and something like 24" to 30" in width that you can drill holes into to poke your mounting bolts through.

I think I paid $20 for a brand new one from 50resto a few years back, but from the junkard, I bought another one for my other car for about $2. They both work equally well. If you find one at a 'yard that looks suitable but it's all scuffed up and filthy, just spray it with some Purple Power or similar cleaner, scrub it off quick with a brush, hose it off, and then spray/wipe it with some Tire Wet or other such product and it'll look good as new. It's far enough under the car that it's not really that visible, anyway, so nobody else is really gonna care if it's got a few scratches and gouges in it.
