Would like to read some driving impressions of this setup. Is it good for the street or strictly drag race?

We ended up doing a kit on a 66 coupe with the P.S. rack from a 90's mustang and it handled really well without a sway bar with 175 coil over springs. The good thing about this kit is that you can put your upgraded sway bar on to this kit if needed and they will give it to with what ever spring rate you want.

I do go to the drags quite a bit but i'd rather have a good handling street car so I went with the progressive rate 175/400

here are some more pics

the stock upper spring plate holder needs to be removed for the new caster camber plates to able to be installed

using 14 g. sheet of material, made a template and cut out part of the plate using a plasma torch to overlay the tower.

welded the plate from the inside the tower under the fender

picture of the plates welded on

here is what the finished product will look like and the tower smoothed!

next step is steering...

our 67 has a 1 piece steering shaft and box so we had to cut it.

Skillz, BOYEEEEEE ! Haha. welded it from the backside and cut it all off. then a sanding wheel on the grinder.

Ahhh, thanx for reminding us, on exactly how many hrs. He's out getting bolt right this second. Found out how heavy the old stuff was last night.

10secgoal stated that we did weigh all the old parts last night and it came to 155lbs with all the suspension and everything else I cut off minus the brakes.

and the new K-member weighs a heafty 19lbs

Remove the stock crossmember and bolt up the k-member to the frame using the second hole in from the back to line up the k-member. we put in inserts into the frame so the frame doesn't bend when attaching the k-member in.

drill, insert, tack weld or weld.

assembly of the a arms, struts

tighten with a torque wrench to 65lbs and blue lock-tite

the strut retainer rounded off -- just for precautionary measures. In one install We have heard one hit the coil spring.

I wouldn't pull the motor and cut out the towers only to rattle can it thereafter, regardless of whatever show I had to make. It's your car after all. looks like a great install

you beat me to them...haha...i bought a set of 620's in the classified, but they were for 65-66 and i have a 68. unfortunatley i didnt find out they were for 65-66 until they were installed and they are way too low for my 68...i guess i will have to keep an eye out for some for a 68...

It's a single stage, not rattle can. But the motor comes out so you can remove the hard ounting for the motor that runs up the center of the shock towers.

well we finished up everything in time for the Knotts show with an overnight stay at the shop. Ended up leaving Sunday morning about 6:45am to head up and on the way up I could smell oil burning. Pulled over to check it out and found that my turbo seal is leaking and was gushing oil all over my newly painted engine bay. I was bummed all that work that Dustin and I did and staying overnight to get it done to get shot down by something else and not be able to make it.

The car did handle very well but didn't really push it much since I had problems with the turbo.

I'll post some pics of the kit of final assembly.
