A while back I had asked about some NOS Alcon calipers that I had found. I had been planning on getting the Brembo set when I found these. Based on the replies I got, I went ahead and got them.

Now I need to get a set of Rotors, pads and some SS lines. I assume Goodridge has some lines. Someone had said that Baer might have some replacement rotors. Is that still the case?
I know there were also a few different opinions on pads. I drive this car as long as the weather is decent, being in Seattle that is about 4 or 5months out of the year. So I want some pads that will wear decently, but will still stop like a MF'er. I will also do some track time at Ford or Mustang days this next year.

Any help and/or opinions are greatly appriciated.

Mike

MIKE---How much did you pay for SALEEN/ALCON CALIPERS?? For brake pads you can go to www.porterfield-brakes.com -- they are in COSTA MESA, CALIF. 949-548-4470 -- they have many compounds to choose from! If you need rotors call JOE at CHICANE SPORT TUNING....phone # 310-782-0063....E-MAIL joe@chicanesport.com --- JOE use to work for SALEEN -- 10 plus years... The correct rotors are approx. $1100.00 for a pair...... Joe is the " KING " when you need SALEEN stuff!!!!!!!!

I got them for $550. I don't need nessacerily need "correct" ones, as my car is not an S351. So if Baer makes "replacements" for less I would rather go that route, plus I could get matching rear rotors from them as well.

I'll call Joe and Baer next week. I have delt with Joe in the past, I got an IC tank from him when I added the KB. Great guy to deal with.

For anyone else wanting info on rotors for the Alcons, this is what I found from Baer today.

They do have a front rotor solution for the Alcons. It uses their 13.25" rotor with a machined adaptor to fit, as well as their tie rod set for clearence.

Cost for this set up is $467.50 for the pair.
$50 add for Crossdrill/Slot/Zinc Plate
$200 add for 2pc rotor option
$105 for front SS hoses

Matching rear rotors $245 with Crossdrill/Slot/Zinc Plate.

I think this is the route I will go (without the 2pc option), so I can match front and rear rotors.

They did not really have any pad options other than full race, and I don't need those. I am going to look into the porterfields next.
