Soo after being rejected from a local Big O tire, I decided to take the stang to the only other alignment shop in town. After waiting over a week to "fit their schedule", I take her there this morning. 2 hous later I receive a call.......My brakes are shot, pedal is down to the floor, my rear brake house was split in 2. They claim that all 3 of my brake hoses are cracked. The tech told me that they couldnt even move it out of the parking space. I go to pick her up and they have an entire bill out with all the required services. Here we go..........My "strut rod bushings" are "dead". My idler arm is "very!" loose. My powersteering leaks....i knew that. "Lots of play in Front left wheel bearing". My Right front upper Control arm is loose. My align shims are loose and missing.........(I took it there to get aligned ). They broke my B&M T handle off.......(they didnt know how to use the reverse lock out)......"oil smoke out of exhaust" Engine wont stay running, it listed that it had been modified hahah. engine leaks oil, tranny leaks, and finally they noticed that my front sway bar had been missing.
If you dont remember, the tech claimed they didnt get to move it from the parking spot, How in the hell would they be able to diagnose all of that crap???? with out moving it. Additionally 1 mile had been added to my odometer. I just hate when other people work on my car. If you dont know what the hell you're doing then straight up just dont touch it. sorry for the rant

Mike

Ps....the bill out with all the required services also noted.....that my car was a "death trap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I know of one alignment shop I like and one mechanic I trust. The alignment shop's tech is a classic ford guy with an old Fairlane that he takes to the strip and the mechanic is the only mechanic my family has used in the past 10 years and he has never once lied to us, as far as I am concerned has never over charged us and has even done work for free when he felt that it was to simple to be worth charging.

I only take things to either one of them when I either don't have the time or the tools to do something myself.

The owner called me, and denied the shifter being damaged. He also claimed that the car had not been moved. There was a trail of brake fluid leading to the bay, back to the parking spot. I told him that he should really pay for the damage done to the shifter. After I requested that, he told me he doesnt appreciate being "accused" and immediately hung up...he went on a rant which invovled many words not allowed on this site. Small claims court here we come......
