Hi fellows,
Just finishing my bud's 65 mustang and time for an alignment. Did the Shelby drop and new front 600 coils with 1" drop and 4.5 leafs in back with 1" drop. 235/45/17 at all corners. Stance is perfect and handling is very much improved.

What alignment specs do you recommend for this car with these mods? It will be a daily driver with ZERO track time. Main concern is highway handling and long front tire life. Can you guys steer me in the right direction on this?

Thanks

Rob

yep those are the ones i recommend for the street. for racing reduce the caster about 1.5 degrees and run the camber to about -1.5 degrees. that would give oyu best traction and a bit easier steering effort, but less auto return.

I use the following:

Chassis:

1" dropped A-arms
1 coil cut from stock springs
Mid-eye 5 leaf springs
1-1/8" front bar
3/4" adjustable rear bar set on full stiff

GR2 shocks

Alignment:

Toe-1/8" toe-in
Caster- 3° positive
Camber- 1/2° negative

Mine is street driven regularly, rides very well and handles as nicely on the twisties as it does on the freeway at 75 mph with no goofy tire wear.
