well, i talked to this guy doug at american autosound and security (local shop, great guys, tehy dotn screw you) and he convinced me to go with the alpine type-S 12" single voice coil subs. they RMS at 200, peak at 600. my kappa perfects would have been below RMS (by about 125 watts) so he todl me the S was bettter matched to my amp. the amp is in my sig (the clarus). what do you guys think about the Type-S subs?

i like alpines, im runnin the r's , i know a girl wit s's and she likes them, though she think they are equal to mine

i had the r's they suck compared to my new mtx's

The S's should be fine for you. The R's like a lot of power, and if you're only going to be able to give them 225 each, they probably wouldn't be much difference than the S's. I'd recommend the R's if you gave them 400+ RMS, but for that power, the S's will be fine.
