alternator 1966

Would a 3G 130 watt alternator fit in a 1966 coupe?
I know these were used on later mustangs...

what are other options for a more powerful
alternator?

Yes, a 3G alternator can be used in a '66. Have a look:

There are also upgrade/rebuild kits available for your 1G alternator, too, which can bump output to 90 or 100 amps.
