First time Mustang owner. 1966 coupe 289CID

I'm new to the Mustang world. I just got a 1966 "Rustang" coupe with a 289CID. I know I'm in for a real learning experience. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

What I meant to say was get on over to the classic stang forums, down the hall on the right, tell em karthief sent ya.... well that might not be a good idea, tell em Noobz sent ya, yeah, he's the boss so they kinda have to let you in, start a thread telling us what the plans are and maybe some progress pics as you go along. The tire was trash. I replaced it with a used one. I have new wheels and tired coming soon!

I plan to cut out the rust and weld in new panels. After the body work, I plant to paint it.
