alternator bracket help

I have an 87 302 that I'm converting to carburated but I'm keeping the serpentine setup. I bought this alternator bracket from march March Performance Ultra Series Billet Aluminum Alternator Brackets: MCH-30025 - summitracing.com but now my water neck wont fit anymore because the radiator hose would hit the bar holding the alternator. I tried the old 90 degree water neck from the efi intake but it hits the vacuum advance on my hei distributor. I was wondering if there were any swivel water necks for a 302 that don't cost as much as these CSR Performance 9110B - CSR Swivel Thermostat Housings - summitracing.com . If there isn't could i simply cut the water neck and re weld it back together in the desired position?

I have that bracket. Can you mount the adj rod hiem joint to the outer part of the alt to allow it to clear the thermostat housing? I have the other end of mine anchored to the AC bracket:
