Ok, car sat for a while, no problems of any sort other than fuel gauge reads past full at all times. I pulled the entire cluster, have not replaced yet, decided to do a quick drive in the car without the cluster in, battery drained to dead within about 5 miles, jump started the car about 3 times to get it home, jump started it again once home, pull the ground off battery and car died immediately, assumed alternator was bad, went ahead and upgraded to the 100 or 130 amp unit with the 4gauge power wire, jumped car again to get running, same damn problem so I mwtered the voltage at battery and it was at around 12.2 and steadily dropped until car died again, tested it at the power supply pin on alternator also and it was just steadily dropping??? Only thing I did was unplug the gauge cluster, is it possible that the gauge cluster has something to do with the no charge???
