Howdy,
I'm a hairs breath away from being in the drivers seat on my '71, but the damn alternator is giving me problems.
Can't seem to figure out where or how to place it. Far as the manual goes, it's more useful as tp. :bang:
I'd greatly appreciate any help from ya mustang gurus out there.
Jack.

My car has a 71 302 in it. I realize that it is hard to see, and does not really show what you need to see, but this is the best pic that I have. The alternator mounts into the pass side head, and runs off the middle crank pulley. My belt runs up the right side of the crank, over the top of the water pump, then around the alternator and back down to the crank.

Thanks guys for the info and pics. I have the bracket and I have the alternator mounted along w/ the adjustment arm. I just can't get the pulleys to line up right. I seems to be about a 1/4 of an inch off. And I just can't get it to line up no matter what I do.
