Well, the power cable stud broke off the back of the alternator, and it was freid because the insulation on the alterstart powercable didn't hold up. I was going to ship it back to Alterstart but I don't know it that would be covered and after you add up shipping and the down time, it's better to pay someone to fix it. So I took it to Bomber Battery in Marietta to see what they could do. He put it on thier machine to make sure it was working right. Thier machine only said it ran 130 amps, and this is supposed to be a 160 amp unit. The belt was slipping a little but the tech said it should still be higher. I only paid $20 extra but I expected to get an upgraded unit. I am going to have to get a new rectifier and while he is in there he will be able to tell it it's really an upgraded unit.
