aluminum AFCO rad install`

It went fine. The hoses are no an issue. They slid right on with a little ATF(very light) I might add. The toughest part was the SS bracket I bought. It was a little short when reaching the thick core of the aluminum radiator. I notched the ends and added spacer so the core would sit tight. other than that it was a snap. took about 4 hours. It runs way cooler than before. I now can drive with the fan off..... before I had to keep it on at highway speed to keep cool. stop and go traffic was fine with the fan on and still stays around 180 or so.

looks good. My 31x19 was a total ****** to put in. Took a lot of hammering and cutting to get it to fit right. Adding the supercharger required even more persuading.

this was the 27 1/2 x 19 I would rather had the 31"...it would have fit better

Nice. Having a good radiator is so important especailly on a street car. I remember going from a stocker to a 3core copperbrass unit made a huge difference. Next I will get either an AFCO or Griffin.

Was this thier standard 27 1/2 x 19 Ford Radiator?

The 31 X 19 does fit better. I put one in a buddys car and used the same stainless steel radiator bracket (Which I designed for UPR BTW) and it fit without cutting or adding brackets. I just had to reroute the wires that run right in front of the radiator around the front side of the core support so I could get the radiator to pull back a little more. It was tight but did fit.

Did you reroute your headlight and alternator wires?

ya I did that when I put the motor in. The only real thing was the width. I really should have gotten the 31". It would have fit much better.
