what's the difference between the aluminum and stainless steel? Maybe I made a mistake by bidding on an aluminum bassani X on ebay... only $150 plus shipping. i hear they make the most power for X pipes and sound insane. was this a good idea? I'm planning on getting 2 chamber flowmasters with it.

Stainless will endure the elements (weather/corrosion) longer than the alum version...

It is not aluminum, it is aluminized steel which has nothing to do with being made of aluminum. Anyways it can rust down the road if exposed to lots of salt and water thats the difference.

I thought Dr. Gas had the best performing X-pipes?

Oh, okay. So 150 is a good deal on it? I'm not planning on keeping it for a long time. I just want a good sound until i save up for long tubes, so it would eventually have to go. I heard Dr.Gas is good too. Not sure which makes more power on a 96-98. But of course i just read emissions are starting 11/12 in CT, so I'd have to wait to put it on, unless you think it could go on, then put the stock back and still pass emissions...?

150 is a pretty good price for that, but your going to need to watch out for rust. it will sound kick *** tho
