And what do you know? Its out of balance:mad:
I bought the used Aluminum shaft last September. I never messed with it until now, because it didn't have both Yoke, So I just didn't feel like messin with it. But i was bord today, so i figure "whatthehell". I bought new U-joints, and pressed old one out(BTW, if you ever gona press your old u-joint, don't bother to use C-clamp. it'll just brake in half:bang: )
SO i used propan torch, heated up little, and press it out with socket and platic hammer.
Ofcourse, it never occure to me to use bench vice for some odd reason:nonono:

Well anyway, all is intalled, and car shakes. not much. but enough to annoy me.
So i'm off to driveshaft shop to get it balanced....
There is one good thing come from all this.
When I was on phone with drive shaft shop, I come to find out guy is located 1/2 mile or so from shop who makes costom tube chassie for local track racers. Can u say costom Subframe connecter that clears side exhaust???:D

this is what happens if you try to use C-clamp for the job...

Was it alot lighter then your stock DS? Also Spintech makes subs for side exhaust...but getting them made is probably better anyway.

Ya its increadibly lighter then OEM by comperason. Something like 14lb where as OEM weigh...like that of my old highschool GF...:nonono:

I'be been trying to figure out where can I get those spintech subs, and haven't been able to find any place who has them.. Must be very miner part?

They used to be on the Spintech website along with the side exhaust kit..but i looked recently and couldn't find them. The spintech website blows now. Maybe try contacting a dealer to see if they could get them.

You should go put the stocker back on, get it dynoed.....then after your aluminum one is ready, go get an after dyno :D. There really hasnt been any defenate dyno gains :)

No probrem. Just wire me $140($70/3 runX2), and I will:nice:

But did you use the marks and line it up?
yeah I did. I might not have torqued frange bolts tight enough tho. I didn't have enough room to use my torque wrench. So i'm gonna jack the car up as high as it goes again, and retight them tomorrow
