First of all, I would like to tell you to PLEASE put the gears tomorrow, dont wait, I dont care if you go 4.10, 4.30, 4.36 or even 3.73 just do it and find out by yourself, they make a huge difference on Nitrous or N/A.

OK now this is the deal, I installed them recently and I've found that the car slightly vibrates at mid RPM's and speed combined, but at high RPM's and speed for example if you step on the gas and you go from 4th to 5th gear at over 5000 RPM's at over 100MPH the stick vibrates so much that is almost impossible to engage 5th. This does not happen at any other combination of gears, for example from 2nd to 3rd or back or forth, only from 4th to 5th.

The gears are not noisy at all, in fact Im very happy with their smoothnes, just that bothers me to have to fight the stick at these speeds.

I know about the dogbone (Im taking the sucker out over the weekend), I have heard that if this does not cure it to go for a Aluminum Driveshaft, if this does not do it then what else can it be wrong with it?

How hard is to install? Im a total idiot but im good in the tools department

Where can I find them cheap? or what places do you guys recommend to get them?

TIA.

Sorry about the length of this thread!!!

On you stock D/S there is a yellow index dot at the rear of the tube. Make sure it's lined up with the yellow dot on the axle flange. However since you swapped the gears your high point index mark(yellow dot) on your axle may be off.

If that doesn't work, there are 8 bolt holes on the flange, which means that there are 8 different ways you can bolt the D/S to the axle. Try them all and see if the vibration goes away. It might go away by moving it. The aluminum D/S might solve your problem, but I reccomend one reguardless if you stock one is o.k.

I still have the dog bone intact on my axle, even after I re-built my axle and put an aluminum D/S and I have no vibration.
