Hey guys, I just bought a Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft for my 95 cobra. I haven't put it in quite yet and I think it should be easy. But, I heard from some people they can be a bitch to put in???? I didn't think it would be. Any of yall put one in and if so any tips??
Thanks!!

the bolts that hold the old driveshaft may be a lil hard to get off but it should be no big deal. Unbolt the old one take it off, slip the new one in the yolk and your good to go. The bolt size is a 12mm 12pt wrench.

Its like a 15 minute job. It takes me longer to jack the car up than it does to remove and reinstall the D/S.

Aight good thats encouraging, I've taken the driveshaft out of my old bronco more than I can count but yeah it was those 12 point bolts I was worried about. I may need to get a new socket cause I don't think I have a 12mm 12 point. Thanks OH I also heard of possible clearance problems with flowmasters?? Is this true? I hope not. I have x-pipe (no cats) and dual 40 flows?

It shouldnt be a problem. The FRPP D/S is the same diameter as the stock one except near the front and rear joints.

It also helps to have a person sit in the car and work the brakes as you rotate the D/S and either remove the bolts or tighten them. That is much more simple than getting out from under the car and setting the parking brake each time.

It might be easier to get a closed 12pt wrench than a socket, theres not a lot of room to get one in there. Just use a breaker bar to put some more force into it. I actually used my foot to get the bolts to loosen.
