Has anyone used the aluminum engine bay panel made by Scott Rod Fabrications. If so How did they fit and did you thinhk they are worth it. Does these fit over the existiong panels or do you have to cut the old ones out I see 5.0Resto has these where you just pop rivet them in. I am trying to clean up the engine compartment without welding and grinding all those small holes.

I havent used his panels for the sides. But i have used his firewall panel and cor support cover panel. They both fit better then factory parts! The guy is awsome and does beyond excellent work!If you wanna do the holes get some sheetmetal and weld them in yourself! It will be far cheaper then buying the panels from scotts rod, just maybe a tad bit more work involved forming them yourself.Heres a few pics of his product i bought from him.peace

It's funny this thread comes about. When I was pulling the air filter box from my wifes GT I was asking myself I wonder who fabs some nice engine bay panels. I was thinking of making some myself out of 18 gauge stainless I have left of over from a recent job I had.
