Hello,

Does anyone know where I can find an aluminum overflow/recovery/degas tank for a 99-04 GT?

In other words, something to replace that cheap stock plastic tank, in which the water from the radiator goes when it overflows, and it has a cap which you unscrew in order to add coolant to the radiator.

I broke the small inlet barb on my stock tank, trying to get the hose off, so I figure I may as well get a nice aluminum one.

I've been doing lots of searches, but I'm not seeing very many that have a fill cap. Does it need to have a fill cap?

I found the following photo of one, but apparently "LudesHP.com" no longer exists. At least, the URL does not seem to work:

Also, should I try to find one that is mounted in the same way as the old one?

Should I get one of those cylinder-shaped ones?

Also, should I get a "vented" one? What does "vented" mean?

It would be nice if I could find one that is easier to clean than the stock one. I never could get all of the crud out of the shallow part.

Finally, does the tank need an inlet and an outlet? I've seen some that just have one opening, besides the filler cap. For example:
