Hey everyone:

I recently bought an '03 after being out of the Mustang scene several years.

On the car I bought, the seller said they had replaced the clutch recently. It works well for the most part, but something about the throwout bearing seems off to me.

When I push in on the clutch pedal I get this pulsing sensation for about the first 2 inches of travel. I don't remember the older cars I had doing that.

The TO bearing also squeaks slightly with the clutch out, which I do remember happening a lot.

I don't trust other ppl's work...think this might warrant pulling the trans out and taking a look? I'm just concerned about bolts being left too loose or the clutch disc slightly off center, that type of thing.

Thanks.....

My guess on the pulsating clutch pedal would be uneven wear on the clutch or flywheel highs and lows. You need to ask the previous owner on what exactly was replaced during the clutch install.
"Throw-out bearings" are gonna be hit and miss w/aftermarket clutch's, all clutch release bearings will start squeak, desighn flaw.
Whether its worth pulling the trans is up to you, depends on if you can do the job your self, SAFELY, or how deep you pockets are.
Heck, if my dreams came true, my cars transmission would be pulled every other month by myself just cause I am able to do it on a lift and in a my own garage.
