Amazing growing/shrinking shifter?

Has anyone else noticed the various interior pics show the shifter at about 5 differnt sizes? From so short its almost sunk into the boot, to the knob being about 6-7 inches in the air? Does this suggest a short-shifter will be an option, or can you change that around 125 ways too?

i noticed it too. it's probably just in different gears. 2nd and 4th gear probably places the handle lower then say 1st or 3rd...

Remember that these cars are still prototypes. There are still bugs to work out and things that will be changed. I would not worry about things like this until the actual production cars start hitting the lots and have differences such as this.

...are you maybe looking at the auto vs manual shifters. the stick seems to be a nice short throw but the auto has that huge/ugly shifter.

no the stick height is different in all the pics, I noticed it too. my guess is they're either still working on it or its an option
