amp question

i want to run a pair of componets for front stage and a single sub. would a 4 channel amp work? could i run the front stage off of 2 channels @ 4 ohm and bridge the other 2 channels for a 2 ohm load? im new to the car audio stuff and have been searching, this stuff gets really confusing.........

Yeah, you could do that, but you won't get the power that you really want out of the bridged channels. You would be better off running your components/coaxials off of a 4 channel and your subs off of a mono amp.

If you are going to run low wattage subs then go ahead and just bridge the 2 channels. If you care about getting a good system take a look at my sig or other audio guys' sigs to see how it should look.

i say the same thing.....either a 2 chnl amp for the mids and highs and a sererate mono amp for the subs. you'd get better seperation and adjustabilty overall. thats what i would do.
