I have a few questions, this stroker kit says it is not balanced. If I get it balanced from the machine shop, is it more expensive then spending the 700 more for it to come pre-balanced? Also, I was thinking of going to 30 pound injectors, is this enough?

the only way to balance it correctly is with the flywheel/clutch and balancer that you plan on using.

Machine shops typically charge $200 for a dynamic balance. you will need the rods, pistons, and bearings you plan on using as well.

The cost can go up depending on how much malory metal they need to add to the crank counterweights.

I would definitely take it to a reputable machine shop with all of your parts. A flywheel and balancer can throw the assembly out of balance if they are not balanced together. I would assemble everything first and check all your clearances. If it checks out ok then take everything apart and bring it to the shop for balance.

Find a good shop and see what they can do for you before buying anything or making any decision. My guy had excellent products available and better than I had found prices...all together he saved me a good chunk of change, and built me a solid shortblock.
