Going deaf from my exhaust

Are my times good for my mods? I ran a bunch of 13.8s and one 13.7 fri at edgewater. my sixty foots were between 2.0 and 2.15 , i know there is room for improvement there but it was my first time on d/r's and im still trying to figure out the best way to launch on them. They are nitto 275/40/17. I got my best times by staging at 4200 and trying to slip the clutch. I did a good burnout to get them hot and they felt like they were hooking pretty well. I dont think the track was in very good condition and it was pretty humid out. The elevation is 467 ft. My best 60 ft was 2.06, eighth 8.856, and quarter 13.76 @ 101. The car feels really strong but I am dissapointed with my times.
Off topic but my friend has an 01 z28 6 spd that usually runs consistent 13.5's and the best he could get was a 13.7 as well with a 2.1 sixty.
I am ditching the crappy mac cai this week for a steeda one to go along with the accufab plenum i just bought with hopes to get a 13.5 fri.

Those are good times. Congrats. Yea im sure you can get those times down. Try to bust out a 1.9 60' . I heard every .1 in your 60' that you cut, you will cut down .2 at the end of the 1/4 mile. Thats 13.5's. After you get that plenum get some headers.

The car feels strong out of the hole but starts to die about 2/3's down the track. How much will my plenum help this? And how much do l/ts give you in the quarter. I want to do something to help top end.

Your plenum along with headers will let you car breath up top. You will deff notice a difference. You have 250rwhp now and with headers and plenum and CAI youll have 270+ rwhp and around 305+ rwtq. I think its worth it.

Thanks for the replies. Is 270 a reachable goal with l/t's, plenum, better cai, and a tune for 94 octane. I would love to be able to pull some low 13's by the end of the summer after some more power and some suspension work. BTW what do think of my launch rpm? Is it too high? Is my rear end on short time?
